Michigan Doc Otis

Access the Portal: Visit the Michigan Department of Corrections Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS) to access the State Offender Lookup. Search Criteria: You can search for offenders using various criteria, including their last name, first name, or MDOC number.

All of the records contained in OTIS are for prisoners and parolees who are CURRENTLY under the jurisdiction of the MDOC, as well as those serving a prison sentence but who are out on writ.

A search result will provide information about any offender who is, or was, in a Michigan prison, on parole or probation under the supervision of the MDOC, has transferred in or out of Michigan under the Michigan Interstate Compact, or who has escaped or absconded from their sentence.

Michigan’s primary statewide search tool is OTIS. It lists prisoners, parolees, probationers, and some recently discharged individuals still within the statutory window.
