Strongsville boasts nine city parks that offer baseball fields, football fields, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and pavilions in addition to a state-of-the-art recreation and senior center.
City services: Strongsville’s 68 police officers provide full-time service from a centrally located headquarters that includes a jail, while the 63 firemedics provide firefighting and emergency medical services from stations located in each of Strongsville’s four wards.
Service Department The Strongsville Service Department is responsible for maintaining all public infrastructure, including road repair and resurfacing, snow removal and keeping roadways clear of debris. The department also maintains traffic control devices, storm sewers, sanitary sewers and city parks, and oversees trash collection and recycling.
