The Borough of Sayreville is located in east-central NJ in Middlesex County, on the Raritan River, near Raritan Bay. Sayreville has an area of 16.3 square miles with a population of 45,496 and was settled about 1775 and incorporated in 1920.
Sayreville has about 600 streets and our crews have only addressed a handful of them each year. Meanwhile, others are crumbling – evident throughout the campaign season as I knocked on doors and voters pointed out potholes.

Sanitation Division Responsabilities The automated refuse trucks in the Sanitation Division collect household garbage and excess trash from approximately 12,000 dwellings in the Borough of Sayreville. We are responsible for the collection of excess trash in three zones, three times per year. Excess trash dates are April, July, and October.
